Winthrop is a charming old community in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. It is an oceanfront suburban town located at the mouth of one of the most beautiful harbors in New England. For a small town, Winthrop surprisingly offers plenty of activities when the sun goes down. For a taste of culture, watch out for performances of the Winthrop Playmakers, known as the best theater group in Boston. There are also a number of great bars that offer a variety of live entertainment. Also, Boston is known for its hopping nightlife, being home to thousands of university students from more than 50 institutions.
